CV Helpdesk Installation Guide

Use this installation guide to complete the setup and configuration process for CV Helpdesk.

1. Overview

  • A Helpdesk System for SharePoint (SPFx) is a ticket management solution built using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) that enables employees to submit, track, and resolve support requests directly within Microsoft SharePoint.
This guide walks through the installation tracks required for a complete deployment:

    1. SharePoint App Deployment — adding the CV Helpdesk web part to your tenant and target site.
    2. Web Part Configuration — placing and configuring the CV Helpdesk experience on a SharePoint page.
    3. Marketplace Subscription — activating a paid plan so the solution runs without restrictions.

2. Prerequisites

  • Before starting the deployment, confirm the following are in place:
    1. SharePoint environment: Microsoft 365 tenant with SharePoint Online and App Catalog enabled.
    2. App Catalog site: A tenant-level or site-collection App Catalog must be created and accessible.
    3. Admin access: Global Administrator or SharePoint Administrator rights are required for tenant-level deployment and for approving API permissions.
    4. Target site: A modern SharePoint site (communication or team site) designated to host and track the ticket circles.
    5. Billing account: A valid payment method on the Microsoft account used to activate the marketplace subscription.
    6. Shared mailbox: A dedicated Exchange Online shared mailbox must be created for helpdesk email communication, and appropriate permissions (Read, Send As, and Send on Behalf, if required) must be granted to the support team and solution account.
    7. Power Automate licensing: Users managing workflows must have the required Microsoft Power Automate license. At minimum, a Power Automate license that supports standard connectors is required.
